Ramadan Duas Daily - Ramzan Dua

As Ramadan is a month full of blessings and one of the most generous blessings by Allah during the month of Ramadan is the opportunity of having our Supplications accepted. Narrated by  Abu Hurairah (R.A.) that Prophet (S.A.W.) said:

There are three whose supplication is not rejected: The fasting person when he breaks his fast, the just leader, and the supplication of the oppressed person …… (Tirmidhi: 3598)

1- Ramadan Moon Sighting Dua

Muslim around the world always want to know about the Dua for Ramadan Moon sighting. This Supplication, also known as ‘Ramzan ka Chand dekhne ki Dua’ is a general Supplication which our Prophet (S.A.W.) used to recite whenever he sees a new crescent moon of new Islamic Month. So we should learn and remember this Dua:

O Allah, bring it over us with blessing and faith, and security and Islam. My Lord and your Lord is Allah.

 (Tirmidhi: 3451)

2- Dua for Fasting - Sehri Dua

Dua for Fasting in Ramadan, also known as Sehri Dua, Dua for Suhoor, Dua forSehri in different parts of the world is a Supplication when a person starts his/her fast during Ramadan. There is no specific Dua before Fasting in Hadith. However, what is prescribed is to say:

In the name of Allah.

However, most Muslims recite following Sehri Dua or Dua for Sehri before starting their fast during Ramadan:

I intend to keep the fast for tomorrow in the month of Ramadan

This Dua for Suhoor is not in Hadith but its words clearly show that the person is intending for fast.

As far as intention for fasting is concerned, Ibn Taymiyah said: “Whoever thinks in his heart that he will fast tomorrow has formed the Intention for Fasting.”

3- Iftar Dua

Dua for Breaking Fast (Dua for Opening Fast), also known as Iftar ki Dua or Dua for Iftar, is a Supplication when person breaks his/her fast during Ramadan.

Thirst is gone, the veins are moistened and the reward is certain if Allaah wills.

(Abu Dawud: 2357)

Above-mentioned is an authentic Iftar Dua and mentioned Hadith is Sahih. First preference should be given to this iftar Dua. However, following is another Supplication which a person can recite at the time of opening his/her fast.

O Allah! For You I have fasted and upon your provision, I have broken my fast.

 (Abu Dawud: 2358)

4- Dua for Laylatul Qadr

Dua for Laylatul Qadr, also known as Shab e Qadr Dua is a Supplication which a person can recite during the odd nights of last 10 days of Ramadan.

O Allah, indeed You are Pardoning, [Generous,] You love pardon, so pardon me

 (Tirmidhi: 3513)

Mother of believers Aisha (R.A.) said: ‘I asked the Messenger of Allah: 'O Messenger of Allah, if I know what night is the night of Qadr, what should I say during it?' Prophet (S.A.W.) recited this Supplication.’

This is an authentic Dua for Laylatul Qadr as the Hadith grade is Sahih. So recite this Dua for Laylatul Qadr as this Shab e Qadr Dua is recommended by our Prophet (S.A.W.). This Supplication should be regularly recited during the entire third ashra of Ramadan.

5- The Most asked Dua of Prophet (S.A.W.)

Our Lord! Give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the torment of the Fire!

(Sahih Bukhari: 6389)

6- Durood Ibrahim

O Allah, bestow Your favor on Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad as You have bestowed Your favor on Ibrahim and on the family of Ibrahim, You are Praiseworthy, Most Glorious. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You have blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim, You are Praiseworthy, Most Glorious.

 (Sahih Bukhari: 6357)

According to Hadith mentioned in Tirmidhi: 484, Prophet (S.A.W.) said: “The person closest to me on the Day of Judgement is the one who sent the most Salat upon me.”

So send infinite blessings on our beloved Prophet (S.A.W.) during the month of Ramadan through this most comprehensive Durood Ibrahimi and be part of the righteous and blessed company of the Prophet (S.A.W.) in paradise.

7- Get reward of one Quran in just 2 minutes

Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One, Allah, the Eternal Refuge, He neither begets nor is born, Nor is there to Him any equivalent."

(Surah Ikhlas: 112) (Sahih Bukhari: 5015)

Prophet (S.A.W.) said that reciting Surah Al-Ikhlas (Surah No. 112) one time is equal to one third of the Quran. So reciting it three times is equal to reward of reading entire Quran.

We know that Allah increases the reward of each good deed by seventy times during Ramadan. So by doing this deed, which will not take more than 2 minutes of our time, we can get reward of seventy Quran. So recite this Surah as much as possible, not only for yourself but also for your deceased family members, friends and all Muslim Ummah.

8- All sins will be forgiven

(100 times)

How perfect Allah is and I praise Him. (recite one hundred times)

 (Sahih Bukhari: 6405)

Allah's Messenger (S.A.W.) said, "Whoever says this one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea.”

So remember this Ramzan Dua, recite it every day and get rid of all your sins (Inshallah).

9- Dua for forgiveness

O Allah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be worshipped except You, You created me and I am Your servant and I abide to Your covenant and promise as best I can, I take refuge in You from the evil of which I have committed. I acknowledge Your favour upon me and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for verily none can forgive sin except You.

 (Sahih Bukhari: 6306)

Prophet (S.A.W.) said that the most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is to recite this Dua for forgiveness and whoever recite it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise.

10- Wudu Dua

Offering five daily Prayer (Salah) is one of the most routine ibadah during Ramadan and also perform ablution (Wudu) the same times. So Ramadan is the best time to learn what should we recite before and after performing ablution.

In the name of Allah.

 (Ibn Majah: 397)

The Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said: "There is no ablution for one who does not mention the Name of Allah (before doing it).” So make routine to recite ‘Bismillah’ before starting ablution and fulfill this Sunnah.

11- Dua after Wudu

I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. O Allah, make me of those who return to You often in repentance and make me of those who remain clean and pure.

  (Tirmidhi: 55)

The Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said: "Whoever performs ablution, making it well and says this Dua then eight gates of Paradise are opened for him, that may enter by whichever of them wishes.”

12- Dua after Azan

O Allah , Lord of this perfect call and established prayer. Grant Muhammad the intercession and favor, and raise him to the honored station You have promised him.

 (Sahih Bukhari: 614)

The Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said: "Whoever after listening to Adha and said this Supplication then my intercession for him will be allowed on the Day of Resurrection.”

So listen carefully to Athan, recite this Dua after Adhan and get the reward of Prophet’s (S.A.W.) intercession on the Day of Judgement.

13- Daily Dhikr

Glory is to Allah, praise is to Allah, there is no god but Allah and Allah is the Most Great.

 (Sahih Muslim: 2695)

This Supplication / Dhikr is very close to Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The Prophet (SAW) said: 'Saying this Dua is more beloved to me than everything the sun has risen over (i.e the whole world).'

14- Tasbih before Sleeping

(33 times)

(33 times)

(34 times)

Glory be to Allah (recite 33 times)

Praise be to Allah (recite 33 times)

Allah is the greatest (recite 34 times)

(Sahih Bukhari: 6318)

Prophet (S.A.W.) taught this Tasbih to his beloved daughter Fatima (R.A.) and advised her to recite it every day before sleeping.

15- Dua before Sleeping

O Allah, protect me from Your punishment on the day Your servants are resurrected.

 (Abu Dawud: 5045)

According to the Hadith, when the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) wanted to go to sleep, he put his right hand under his cheek and would then recite this Supplication three times.

16- Dua for waking up

All praise is for Allah who gave us life after having taken it from us and unto Him is the resurrection.

  (Sahih Bukhari: 6312)

17- Tasbeeh after Namaz

(10 times)

(10 times)

(10 times)

Glory be to Allah (recite 10 times)

Praise be to Allah (recite 10 times)

Allah is the greatest (recite 10 times)

 (Sahih Bukhari: 6329)

Offering five daily Salah is one of the most routine ibadah during Ramadan. So recite this Prophet’s (S.A.W.) Tasbih after Namaz and fulfill his Sunnah by praising Allah.

18- Dua to seek protection from Debt and Sins

O Allah! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous.

  (Surah Al-Furqan 25:74)

22- Dua for Parents

Our beloved Prophet (S.A.W.) used to recite this Dua everyday immediately after Fajr Prayer.

26- Dua at the end of Gathering

During Ramadan, Muslims all over the world used to gather especially in mosques to learn about Islam through sermons of scholars. Muslims also gather for Suhoor and Iftar, Quran Tajweed and other such blessed gatherings. Our Prophet (S.A.W.) has taught us following Supplication which every Muslim should recite at the end of each gathering.

Glory is to You, O Allah, and praise is to You. I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but You. I seek Your forgiveness and repent to You.

May the fasting (men) break their fast with you, and the pious eat your food, and the angels pray for blessing on you.

According to the Hadith, Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) broke his fast with Saad bin Muadh (R.A.) and said this Supplication after having iftar.
