Despite the COVID-19 pandemic that struck the whole world, OIC Halal Expo and World Halal Summit was held in a hybrid format with both offline and online international participation, bringing more than 9000 visitors from 55 different countries.
The turnout despite the complexities of COVID shows how ready the Muslim Ummah is to open important conversations around all things Halal. This year, the event will be held physically under the theme of “New Era & New Normals: Necessity of Halal Production and Consumption”.
Organized in association with the Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT), the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Standards and Metrology for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), 8th OIC Halal Expo and 7th World Halal Summit will be organized simultaneously on 25-28 November, 2021 in Istanbul Congress Centre, Istanbul-Turkey.
Here are a few reasons why these events are so important for the Muslim Ummah:
1) These events provide a unique environment for the exchange of expertise between participants and the group of researchers and experts in all areas related to the definition of Halal.
2) Even though the pandemic continues, such events highlight how important is to follow the hygiene rules more carefully and keep up with the healthy lifestyle.

4) Such events put Muslim Ummah in the good light and shows to the rest of the world, that we are actively working on making this world a better place physically, mentally, and spiritually.
