Mango Iced Tea

This iced tea with the goodness of mango and a zing of lemon makes this very refreshing option for Iftar. Just the perfect sip one could ask for during any time, especially during the hot days to beat the heat. Fun fact: It is a highly popular drink in Asian countries!

Servings: 3

INGREDIENTS

1 Cup chopped Mango
2 tsp black tea or 2 tea bags
4 Cups water
1 tbsp lemon Juice
1 1/2 tbsp sugar or to taste
Ice Cubes

DIRECTIONS

Peel and chop mango into pieces in a mixer or blender. Pulse for 2 mins to make puree.
Bring water to boil, add tea, sugar and boil for 30 seconds. Take the tea off the stove and keep aside until it cools down.
Strain tea in a large bowl or jug, add mango puree, lemon juice mix with ice cubes.
Pour in serving glasses, add a few more ice cubes and garnish with mint leaves or mango chunks or lemon wedges.
