(6341) The Virtues Of Ubayy Bin Ka'b And A Group Of The Ansar (RA)
حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو دَاوُدَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مَعْبَدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ: مَنْ جَمَعَ الْقُرْآنَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: أَرْبَعَةٌ، كُلُّهُمْ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ: أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ، وَمُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ، وَزَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، وَرَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ يُكْنَى أَبَا زَيْدٍ
SAHIH HADITH:
Hammam said: I said to Anas b. Malik: Who collected the Qur'an during the lifetime of Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم )? He said: Four (persons), all of them belonging to Ansir: Ubayy b. Ka'b, Mu'adh b. Jabal, Zaid b. Thabit and a person from the Ansar whose Kunya was Abu Zaid.
