Allah is the Disposer of all things

TRANSLATION

On the Authority of Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani (R.A.), who narrated that:

"Allah's Messenger (S.A.W.) led the morning prayer in Al-Hudaibiya and it had rained the previous night. When the Prophet (S.A.W.) had finished the prayer he faced the people and said, "Do you know what your Lord has said?" They replied, "Allah and His Apostle know better." (The Prophet (S.A.W.) said), "Allah says, 'In this morning some of My worshipers remained as true believers and some became non-believers; he who said that it had rained with the blessing and mercy of Allah is the one who believes in Me and does not believe in star, but he who said it had rained because of such and such (star) is a disbeliever in Me and is a believer in star."

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

This Hadith show the difference between a true believer of Allah and a non-believer.

Pre-Islamic Arabs believed that rain was brought about by the movement of stars. This Hadith draws attention to the fact that whatever be the direct cause of such natural phenomena as rain, it is Allah the Almighty who is the Disposer of all things.

This Hadith highlights the wrong attribution the disbelievers make to the endowments of Allah e.g. they think that such things and gifts are caused by the stars and planets. What a wrong belief!
