In this video, Mufti Menk highlighting the life of Third Caliph Uthman ibn Affan (R.A.). He was a senior companion of the Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.). He succeeded Second Caliph Umar Ibn Al-Khattab (R.A.) after First Caliph Abu Bakr Siddiq (R.A.) as the third caliph.
No one is known to have married two daughters (Ruqayah, and upon her death, married Umm Kulthum) of Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) except Uthman ibn Affan (R.A.) and for this reason, he was nicknamed 'Dhun-Nurain' (the one with the two lights). He was one of the ten given the tiding of Paradise and one of the Companions who compiled the Quran.
Hadith narrated by Abu Hurrairah (R.A.) that the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said:
“Every Prophet will have a friend in Paradise, and my friend there will be Uthman bin Affan.” (Ibn Majah: 109)
The words of Prophet (S.A.W.) shows his love for Uthman Ibn Affan (R.A.).
