Did you hear about this amazing new park that has now been opened in Dubai? It uses gardens and landscaping to tell stories from Islam's holy text, offering locals and tourists a day out with a religious twist. Quite a news, right?

This Quranic Park attracted around 100,000 people in the very first week, according to officials, feeding demand for religious attractions in the United Arab Emirates where Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is known to be a top destination for visitors.

This educational park, which seeks to attract Muslims and non-Muslims, comprises of 12 gardens, a Cave of Miracles, and a split lake symbolizing Prophet Musa's (AS) incident where there was parting of the Red Sea.

Trees bearing grapes, figs, pomegranates, and olives dot the park's 64 hectares. They highlight the medical and scientific uses of plants mentioned in the Holy Quran (see also: Al Quran Online) and Sunnah (see also: Hadith) of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Emirati visitor Omar al-Kaabi said:

“My children had learned about these plants, and they had some questions about the Quran and the miracles.”

standing inside the greenhouse that holds some of the plants, he said:

“Praise God we got some answers.”

Visitors to the cave can learn about the story of Hazrat Isa (AS) making a bird from clay and six other prophetic miracles mentioned in the Quran, using 3D map and hologram displays (see also: Story of Jesus). Anan al-Hourani, another visitor who brought his daughters to the park on a sunny Saturday afternoon, said:

“It's a nice idea, right at the heart of our Islamic religion…At the same time, it's recreational, with the lovely gardens, greenery, and trees.”

SubhanAllah! This is a great initiative taken to enhance the understanding of Islam as well as showcase some things visually the best way possible. We encourage that whenever any of your friends and families visit Dubai, this site is a must-visit one! Let others know of this so they are not left out.
