Islam teaches us to filter our thoughts and use our words wisely.

Salam O Alaikum!
Words - in any context or form - have the power to turn a person’s life around, for better or for worse depending on how you use them.
On one hand, we have negative expressions that benefit neither the speaker nor the listener. On the other hand, there are thoughtful phrases that mend broken hearts and promote peace between people and even nations at times.
Since how we choose to convey our thoughts is solely up to us, it’s wise to put a filter on them before speaking out loud. After all, that’s what the Qur’an teaches us to do so as well.
Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala says:
“O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.” - (Surah Al-Ahzab: 70-71)
May Allah (SWT) purify our speech, and may we not utter a word that displeases Him and makes us viable for His punishment. Ameen.
