UN members vote against Trump!

As you all know the Muslim world has been in quite a frenzy over Trump’s recent statement on recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and shifting the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem as a gesture of making the recognition official. 
In the latest news, the UN (United Nations) General Assembly held a vote for a resolution whereby Jerusalem’s status could only be determined through a peace deal. A huge majority of the countries voted in favor of the resolution thereby angering Nikki Haley, the US ambassador to the UN. 

128 members of the UN voted in favor of the resolution while only 9 states including the US voted against it! Of the states voting against the resolution, excluding the US, most of them were islands/small states. The members voting in favor of the resolution included countries like Iraq, Afghanistan and Egypt which are on heavy financial aid from the US. 
According to the threatening statements of Nikki Haley and Trump, it seems that some of the countries might be in for a cut back on US aid. 
The Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, believes it to be a win for Palestine and a huge setback for the US as a majority of countries stood up against Trump and his stance at this vote.
