وَمَآ أُوتِيتُم مِّن شَىْءٍ فَمَتَٰعُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتُهَا وَمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
Wama ooteetum min shayin famataAAu alhayati alddunya wazeenatuha wama AAinda Allahi khayrun waabqa afala taAAqiloona
And whatsoever ye are vouchsafed is an enjoyment of the life of the world and an adornment thereof; and that which is with Allah is better and more lasting. Will ye not therefore reflect?
أَفَمَن وَعَدْنَٰهُ وَعْدًا حَسَنًا فَهُوَ لَٰقِيهِ كَمَن مَّتَّعْنَٰهُ مَتَٰعَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ثُمَّ هُوَ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ مِنَ ٱلْمُحْضَرِينَ
Afaman waAAadnahu waAAdan hasanan fahuwa laqeehi kaman mattaAAnahu mataAAa alhayati alddunya thumma huwa yawma alqiyamati mina almuhdareena
Is he, then, whom We have promised an excellent promise which he is going to meet, like unto him whom We have suffered to enjoy awhile the enjoyment of the life of the world, then on the Day of Resurrection he shall be of those brought up!
وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُ أَيْنَ شُرَكَآءِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ
Wayawma yunadeehim fayaqoolu ayna shurakaiya allatheena kuntum tazAAumoona
And on the Day whereon He shall call unto them and say: where are My associates whom ye were wont to assert?
قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقَوْلُ رَبَّنَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ ٱلَّذِينَ أَغْوَيْنَآ أَغْوَيْنَٰهُمْ كَمَا غَوَيْنَا تَبَرَّأْنَآ إِلَيْكَ مَا كَانُوٓا۟ إِيَّانَا يَعْبُدُونَ
Qala allatheena haqqa AAalayhimu alqawlu rabbana haolai allatheena aghwayna aghwaynahum kama ghawayna tabarrana ilayka ma kanoo iyyana yaAAbudoona
Those upon whom the sentence will be pronounced will say: our Lord these are they whom we seduced, we seduced them even as we our selves were seduced. We declare ourselves quit of them before Thee; not our selves they were wont to worship.
وَقِيلَ ٱدْعُوا۟ شُرَكَآءَكُمْ فَدَعَوْهُمْ فَلَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لَهُمْ وَرَأَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ لَوْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ يَهْتَدُونَ
Waqeela odAAoo shurakaakum fadaAAawhum falam yastajeeboo lahum waraawoo alAAathaba law annahum kanoo yahtadoona
And it shall be said: Call upon your associate-gods. And they shall call upon them, and they shall not answer them, and they shall behold the torment. Would that they had received the guidance!
وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَآ أَجَبْتُمُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
Wayawma yunadeehim fayaqoolu matha ajabtumu almursaleena
And on the Day whereon He shall call unto them and say: what answer gave ye to the sent ones?
فَعَمِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْأَنۢبَآءُ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَهُمْ لَا يَتَسَآءَلُونَ
FaAAamiyat AAalayhimu alanbao yawmaithin fahum la yatasaaloona
Bedimmed unto them shall be all excuses on that Day, wherefore they shall not be able to ask one of another.
فَأَمَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحًا فَعَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُفْلِحِينَ
Faamma man taba waamana waAAamila salihan faAAasa an yakoona mina almufliheena
Howbeit, whosoever shall repent and believe, and work righteous works - belike he shall be of the thrivers.
وَرَبُّكَ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ وَيَخْتَارُ مَا كَانَ لَهُمُ ٱلْخِيَرَةُ سُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
Warabbuka yakhluqu ma yashao wayakhtaru ma kana lahumu alkhiyaratu subhana Allahi wataAAala AAamma yushrikoona
And thy lord createth whatsoever He listeth and chooseth; no Choice is to be far them. Hallowed be Allah and exalted above that which they associate!
وَرَبُّكَ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُكِنُّ صُدُورُهُمْ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ
Warabbuka yaAAlamu ma tukinnu sudooruhum wama yuAAlinoona
And thy Lord knoweth that which their breasts conceal and that which they make known.
