It has been years since their suffering but what you can do will always give a room for improvement.

The suffering of the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar has been over the news since quite some time now. We have seen the horror of the Rohingya and their suffering; the genocidal terror, rape, children being burned alive and much more. Over 800,000 to 1,100,000 Rohingya have already fled away from their homeland to seek refuge in Bangladesh and now they are stranded in the middle with almost no aid or relief.

Human Concern International, a Canadian humanitarian organization, has been on the ground directly delivering emergency aids to the Rohingya refugees by providing food, shelter, winter relief, water and sanitation.

While we will continue to meet the urgency of this humanitarian crisis through emergency relief distribution, we recognise that more must be done in the long term. HCI will also start to focus on other basic necessities such as building tube wells, latrines in the camps and so on. Today, thousands of people are still living under trees in the midst of the monsoon rain and floods.

The organization intends to further offer initiatives such as orphan sponsorship program, children centre, mobile clinic, and health initiatives for new mothers, newborns and expectant mothers and so much more.

As individuals, we should help them out in whatever way possible; open your doors for them, seek out charities that are helping them and give them donations. Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) said:

“Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever helps ease someone in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this world and in the Hereafter.” (Sahih Muslim 2699)

Your generous support is needed to help HCI reach out to the ignored and devastated Rohingya refugees. Make a difference in someone’s life today and donate for rohingya now!
