Get Your Body Ramadan-Ready In 5 Steps!

The Holy Month of Ramadan is around the corner! If you’re planning to fast the whole month in good health, it’s essential to know how to ease your body into Ramadan the right way.

Here are 5 effective tips to help your body get Ramadan-ready:

1- Lower Your Sugar and Salt Intake

Reducing the amount of sugar and salt consumed within a day before Ramadan helps you fight food cravings. In addition to curbing those hunger pangs, reducing salt/sugar intake also helps you switch to a much healthier lifestyle in general.

2- Reduce Your Caffeine Input

Similarly, cutting back on caffeine in advance helps you struggle less with withdrawal headaches during Ramadan, especially during the first Ashra.

3- Drink More Water

Increasing your water intake at least a week before Ramadan (by adding an extra glass or two daily) also helps since it keeps your hydration level regulated throughout the month of fasting.

4- Cut Back On Snacks

We all love a good snack during the day! So, right now, your body is used to having three meals a day along with other occasional snacks. By cutting back on the snacks beforehand, you prepare your body for long hours of fasting during Ramadan.

5- Fix Your Sleeping Pattern

Lastly, try setting your alarm a little earlier every day so that the change of routine in the month of Ramadan goes much easier on you and you don’t feel sleep deprived especially during the daytime.

May Allah (SWT) grant us the chance to witness another Ramadan in good health. Ameen.
