Bruleed Banana and Peanut Butter Bagel

Say hello to this sweet sensational breakfast treat which is ideal for both, suhoor and iftar.

  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp cream cheese (with fat or fat-free)
  • 1 whole-wheat bagel split in half
  • 1 banana small
  • 2 tsp coconut sugar


  1. Preheat the oven broiler to high heat and lightly spray a baking sheet with non-stick spray. Do not use parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter and cream cheese. Mix until smooth. 
  3. Spread onto the sliced side of each bagel and place onto the baking sheet - peanut butter side facing up.
  4. Slice the banana into 1/4 inch circles and place on top of the peanut butter mixture. 
  5. Lightly sprinkle the coconut sugar on the top of each banana.
  6. Place in the oven and broil until the sugar on top of the bananas is browned and caramelized, about 3 to 5 minutes. 
  7. Allow to cool slightly and serve.
