Read Surah Sadwith translation
قَالَ يَٰٓإِبْلِيسُ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَن تَسْجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقْتُ بِيَدَىَّ أَسْتَكْبَرْتَ أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْعَالِينَ
Qala ya ibleesu ma manaAAaka an tasjuda lima khalaqtu biyadayya astakbarta am kunta mina alAAaleena
Dijo Dios: "¡Iblís! ¿Qué te impide hacer una reverencia ante lo que creé con Mis dos manos? ¿Te niegas a hacerlo por soberbia o porque te crees un ser superior?"
قَالَ أَنَا۠ خَيْرٌ مِّنْهُ خَلَقْتَنِى مِن نَّارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُۥ مِن طِينٍ
Qala ana khayrun minhu khalaqtanee min narin wakhalaqtahu min teenin
Dijo [Iblís]: "Yo soy superior a él. A mí me creaste de fuego, mientras que a él lo creaste de barro".
قَالَ فَٱخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ
Qala faokhruj minha fainnaka rajeemun
Dijo Dios: "Sal de aquí, pues te maldigo.
وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكَ لَعْنَتِىٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ
Wainna AAalayka laAAnatee ila yawmi alddeeni
Y esta maldición pesará sobre ti hasta el Día del Juicio".
قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِىٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
Qala rabbi faanthirnee ila yawmi yubAAathoona
Dijo [Iblís]: "¡Oh, Señor mío! Permíteme vivir hasta el Día de la Resurrección".
قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنظَرِينَ
Qala fainnaka mina almunthareena
Dijo Dios: "Te concedo la prórroga que Me pides,
إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْوَقْتِ ٱلْمَعْلُومِ
Ila yawmi alwaqti almaAAloomi
hasta el día cuyo término está prefijado".
قَالَ فَبِعِزَّتِكَ لَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
Qala fabiAAizzatika laoghwiyannahum ajmaAAeena
Dijo [Iblís]: "¡Juro por Tu poder que los descarriaré a todos,
إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنْهُمُ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
Illa AAibadaka minhumu almukhlaseena
excepto a quienes de Tus siervos hayas protegido!"
قَالَ فَٱلْحَقُّ وَٱلْحَقَّ أَقُولُ
Qala faalhaqqu waalhaqqa aqoolu
Dijo Dios: "La verdad es [lo que he jurado], y la verdad declaro:
