Hadith 6259 of the book of asking permission by sahih al bukhari

(6259) (The legal aspect of) the one who looks at a letter in order to know its written contents and the meanings of its subject which is not allowed for the Muslims to look at

حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ بُهْلُولٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي حُصَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏والزُّبَيْرَ بْنَ الْعَوَّامِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبَا مَرْثَدٍ الْغَنَوِيَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكُلُّنَا فَارِسٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ "انْطَلِقُوا حَتَّى تَأْتُوا رَوْضَةَ خَاخٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّ بِهَا امْرَأَةً مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ مَعَهَا صَحِيفَةٌ مِنْ حَاطِبِ بْنِ أَبِي بَلْتَعَةَ إِلَى الْمُشْرِكِينَ"، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَأَدْرَكْنَاهَا تَسِيرُ عَلَى جَمَلٍ لَهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَيْثُ قَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُلْنَا:‏‏‏‏ أَيْنَ الْكِتَابُ الَّذِي مَعَكِ؟ قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ مَا مَعِي كِتَابٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَنَخْنَا بِهَا فَابْتَغَيْنَا فِي رَحْلِهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَمَا وَجَدْنَا شَيْئًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ صَاحِبَايَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا نَرَى كِتَابًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتُ مَا كَذَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالَّذِي يُحْلَفُ بِهِ لَتُخْرِجِنَّ الْكِتَابَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ لَأُجَرِّدَنَّكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَلَمَّا رَأَتِ الْجِدَّ مِنِّي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَهْوَتْ بِيَدِهَا إِلَى حُجْزَتِهَا وَهِيَ مُحْتَجِزَةٌ بِكِسَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَخْرَجَتِ الْكِتَابَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَانْطَلَقْنَا بِهِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ "مَا حَمَلَكَ يَا حَاطِبُ عَلَى مَا صَنَعْتَ"، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا بِي إِلَّا أَنْ أَكُونَ مُؤْمِنًا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَا غَيَّرْتُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا بَدَّلْتُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَرَدْتُ أَنْ تَكُونَ لِي عِنْدَ الْقَوْمِ يَدٌ يَدْفَعُ اللَّهُ بِهَا عَنْ أَهْلِي وَمَالِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَيْسَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِكَ هُنَاكَ إِلَّا وَلَهُ مَنْ يَدْفَعُ اللَّهُ بِهِ عَنْ أَهْلِهِ وَمَالِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ "صَدَقَ فَلَا تَقُولُوا لَهُ إِلَّا خَيْرًا"، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّهُ قَدْ خَانَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَالْمُؤْمِنِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَدَعْنِي فَأَضْرِبَ عُنُقَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ "يَا عُمَرُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ قَدِ اطَّلَعَ عَلَى أَهْلِ بَدْرٍ"، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ "اعْمَلُوا مَا شِئْتُمْ فَقَدْ وَجَبَتْ لَكُمُ الْجَنَّةُ"، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَدَمَعَتْ عَيْنَا عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ.

SAHIH HADITH:

Narrated `Ali: Allah's Apostle sent me, Az-Zubair bin Al-Awwam and Abu Marthad Al-Ghanawi, and all of us were horsemen, and he said, Proceed till you reach Rawdat Khakh, where there is a woman from the pagans carrying a letter sent by Hatib bin Abi Balta'a to the pagans (of Mecca). So we overtook her while she was proceeding on her camel at the same place as Allah's Apostle told us. We said (to her) Where is the letter which is with you? She said, I have no letter with me. So we made her camel kneel down and searched her mount (baggage etc) but could not find anything. My two companions said, We do not see any letter. I said, I know that Allah's Apostle did not tell a lie. By Allah, if you (the lady) do not bring out the letter, I will strip you of your clothes' When she noticed that I was serious, she put her hand into the knot of her waist sheet, for she was tying a sheet round herself, and brought out the letter. So we proceeded to Allah's Apostle with the letter. The Prophet said (to Habib), What made you o what you have done, O Hatib? Hatib replied, I have done nothing except that I believe in Allah and His Apostle, and I have not changed or altered (my religion). But I wanted to do the favor to the people (pagans of Mecca) through which Allah might protect my family and my property, as there is none among your companions but has someone in Mecca through whom Allah protects his property (against harm). The Prophet said, Habib has told you the truth, so do not say to him (anything) but good. `Umar bin Al-Khattab said, Verily he has betrayed Allah, His Apostle, and the believers! Allow me to chop his neck off! The Prophet said, O `Umar! What do you know; perhaps Allah looked upon the Badr warriors and said, 'Do whatever you like, for I have ordained that you will be in Paradise.' On that `Umar wept and said, Allah and His Apostle know best.

Improve your location’s accuracy

Sometimes we might have trouble finding where you are located. Having your current location will help us to get you more accurate prayer times and nearby Islamic places. Here are some things you can do to help fix the problem.

  1. In the top right, click More
  2. Click Settings and then Show advanced settings.
  3. In the "Privacy" section, click Content settings.
    1. In the dialog that appears, scroll down to the "Location" section. Select one of these permissions:
    2. Allow all sites to track your physical location: Select this option to let all sites automatically see your location.
    3. Ask when a site tries to track your physical location: Select this option if you want Google Chrome to alert you whenever a site wants to see your location.
    4. Do not allow any site to track your physical location: Select this option if don't want any sites to see your location.
  4. Click Done.
  1. Open System Preferences and then Security & Privacy Preferences and then Privacy and then Location Services.
  2. To allow for changes, click the lock in the bottom left.
  3. Check "Enable Location Services."
  1. Turn on location
    1. On your phone or tablet, open the Settings app.
    2. Tap Location.
    3. At the top, switch location on.
    4. Tap Mode and then High accuracy.
    If you still get an error when you open IslamicFinder, follow the step 2.
  2. Open Chrome
    1. In the top right, tap More
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Under "Advanced", tap Site Settings
    4. Tap Location. If you see a toggle, make sure it turned on and blue.
      1. If you see "Location access is turned off for this device," tap the blue words > on the next Settings screen, tap the toggle to turn on location access.
      2. If you see "blocked" under "Location," tap Blocked > tap IslamicFinder > Clear & reset.
    5. Open IslamicFinder in your mobile browser and refresh the web page
    If you're using a browser other than Chrome, visit your browser's help center by visiting their website.
  1. Turn on location
    1. Open Settings app.
    2. Tap Privacy > Location Services > Safari Websites.
    3. Under "Allow Location Access," tap While Using the app.
  2. Give current location access on your browser
      Safari
    1. Open settings app.
    2. Tap General > Reset.
    3. Tap Reset Location & Privacy.
    4. If prompted, enter your passcode.
    5. You will see a message that says "This will reset your location and privacy settings to factory defaults." Tap Reset Settings.
    6. Open Safari
    7. Go to IslamicFinder
    8. To give Safari access to your location, tap Allow or OK
    9. To give IslamicFinder access to your location, tap OK
    3. If you are using a browser other than Safari, visit your browser's help center by visiting their website.
