(2535) The selling and conferring on others of the Wala of a manumitted slave
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، يَقُولُ: "نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلَاءِ، وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ".
SAHIH HADITH:
Narrated Ibn `Umar: Allah's Apostle forbade the selling or donating the Wala' of a freed slave.
